Programs for
Extra Depth of Field, review.
John Hollenberg's review on two virtual D.O.F. improvement programs: Helicon Focus (see
link above) and Combine Z( freeware). These programs combine a number of pictures taken from
the same subject with slightly changed focus, to create one overall sharp picture (stack
photography).
Microscopy of Nature
A very nice website by Rolf Vossen, with beatiful pictures and many technical tips for DIY
microscope photography. He gives good examples of good pictures, that can be achieved
without very expensive optics. Thorough research (with micrometer pictures) on making a
photo eyepiece by combining several elements.
